The primary mission of the King Cove Police Department is to coordinate and lead efforts within the community to preserve the public peace, protect the rights of persons and property, prevent crime and generally provide assistance to persons in urgent situations.

King Cove Police Department
King Cove is located 648 air miles southwest of Anchorage. King Cove's diverse economy is based on commercial fishing and seafood processing, construction and development. King Cove's ports are home to a large number of commercial fishing vessels. The King Cove Police Department (KCPD) is the principal law enforcement agency and provides twenty-four patrol, criminal investigation support, animal control and parking enforcement services. The KCPD operates the only Public Safety Answering Point in the community and provides communication support and dispatch services to all police, fire and EMS agencies in King Cove.
