Mission:

King Cove is proud to offer a full range of dockage, boat yard and marine services for commercial fishing, cargo, passenger, and recreational vessels. The facilities are owned by the City of King Cove; operated, and maintained by the City's Harbor Department.

Two harbors provide protected moorage for 96  vessels up to 165 feet in length. Large vessels, including the state ferry, cruise ships and cargo vessels are moored at the deepwater pier. One inner-harbor dock is available for vessels up to 165 feet that may be used for loading and maintenance activities. There is also a bulkhead available for vessels up to 120 feet that my be used for loading and maintenance activities.All vessels must register with the Harbormaster's office for moorage, services, and dockage. Electricity and water are available at several locations and in most slips. Other services provided upon request.

If you are not familiar with King Cove's port and harbor facilities, please call or visit the Harbormaster's office. Comments and suggestions to improve service and facilities are always welcome. Harbor staff may be reached 24 hours per day, seven days per week on VHF channel 6 or 16. The office is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday 

Marina Information

The City operates two marinas: One (Small Boat Harbor) and a second (Robert Babe Newman Harbor).

Most slips have access to water and electricity. Depending on the size of the slip, electricity up to 100 amp, 3 phase is available.

Exclusive (permanent) moorage is available in both harbors. Vessel owners desiring exclusive moorage may apply with the harbor office. Moorage rates and other fees are listed in the Rates/Fees section.

Transient vessels will be hot-bunked in vacant slips on a short-term basis. Long-term hot-bunk slip assignments are possible on a first-come, first-serve basis. Contact the harbor office for all assignments.

PORT TARIFF:
Dockage & Wharfage Fees: Over the dock fees on frieght transferred over city owned docks - $5.40 per ton

LOCATION:
King Cove is located at 5504'20?N 16219'05?W..[3] King Cove is located on the pacific side of the Alaska Peninsula. It is 18 miles (29 km) southeast of Cold Bay and 625 miles (1,006 km) southwest of Anchorage. It lies at approximately 55* 03'N Latitude and 162* 19' W Longitude. The area encompasses 2.9 square miles (8 km2) of land and 2.0 square miles (5 km2) of water.

Pier  - Ferry Dock
Uses: Ferry terminal, and general use for mooring, loading, unloading of fishing and other types of vessels.

T - Dock
Use: loading/unloading of commercial freight, gear work area, moorage for fishing vessels.

Bulkhead Dock
Use: loading/unloading of commercial freight, gear work area, moorage for fishing vessels.
Services: Two dock mounted cranes

Scheduled flights 6 days/week to/from Anchorage. Grant Avation & Pen Air

GEAR STORAGE:
Short and long term gear storage available through Harbormaster's office.

USED OIL AND OILY BILGE WATER DISPOSAL:
Disposal site at the Fishermen's warehouse
